Inspector

Andrew Fielding

Andy got his start in the building industry in his teens, working for his family's construction company.  His passion for heritage design, construction techniques (both new and old) and fine craftsmanship developed over the years as he worked under several master craftsmen and then on his own as a restoration carpenter and general contractor.  He has received various awards, including a Preservation Award given by the National Park Service (US).  Andy is inquisitive, passionate about fine homebuilding and is always interested in learning about the both traditional and modern building methods.   Joining The Inspector, Andy is excited to share his enthusiasm for building technology and to help others understand their home.

A Recent Review of Andy:

"Had an inspection of a 2-bed apartment in a high rise done by Andy today. It was wonderful (as wonderful as inspections go). Andy is very respectful, has excellent social skills, excellent listening and communication skills - explaining everything clearly and showing me different things in the home making sure i understood, dealing with all parties with grace (agents, buyer, building manager). I really appreciated his review of his findings at the end and provision of the report. He took the time needed and didn't rush me/the process and i highly highly recommend this company.

I couldn’t have had a more positive experience with The Inspector. Communication with Nancy was great and she got my inspection booked quickly and easily. Andy was incredibly thorough with the inspection. As a first time buyer, I was not at all familiar with the home inspection process. Andy took the time to explain everything to me and answered all of my questions. Highly recommend!"
